Smart Updates ::.. As part of the Financial Imaging customer family, you can take advantage of our advance data technologies, especially our Smart Update software. Once your data is securely submitted, we purge your data through SMARTechnology. The first of our processes eliminates undeliverable address, the next corrects them, and the last makes sure the person related to the data record hasn’t moved. These corrections and updates are processed and completed before the record is actually printed: saving you unwanted returned mail costs while keeping your information accurate. To maintain high levels of data integrity, we setup communication links that allow your programs to accept our updated information through Smart Update. This keeps your records accurate and current. Smart Updates are received through a secure e-mail link and have truncation information contained within the data file. The e-mail is processed in conjunction with Smart Correct and is validated through our Smart Process Technology. The following information is provided in e-mail updates. Closed States is a set of records for all accounts that have moved into a state that has been listed by your client as a closed state for mailing. These records are removed from the database because returned mail would have resulted. These addresses are returned to you in a separate and secure, tab delimited file so you can update your records. Coded Corrections is a set of records of all coded corrections made to uploaded record files. Coded corrections can include wrong zip codes, improper street names, wrong suites, lots, and apartment numbers. These corrections are returned to you in a separate and secure, tab delimited file so you can update your records. Moved with Forwarding Address is a set of records containing all accounts that have moved with forwarding addresses. These addresses are implemented at time of data processing. These new addresses are placed in a separate and secure, tab delimited file so you can update your records. Non-Deliverable and Non-Forwarding is a set of records that have non-deliverable and non-forwarding addresses available. These records were removed from the database because return mail would have resulted. These incorrect addresses are returned to you in a separate and secure, tab delimited file so you can update your records.
